A wholly owned subsidiary of Open Road Records, Flying Island was founded in early 2011 by entertainment attorney Nancy Eckert (CEO) and producer Louis Newman (Head of A&R) to serve as the label home for flagship artist, Gwen Sebastian. Newman's focus is on the creative side, while business partner Eckert oversees company operations, publicity and legal affairs. Flying Island is a multi-faceted entertainment company located in Nashville, Tennessee.
