KEYSTONE HUMAN SERVICES INTERNATIONAL
www.khs.orgAlthough the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) entered into force in 2008, offering protection for the civil, cultural, economic, political, and social rights of people with disability, many throughout the world still face barriers and discrimination that make it difficult, if not impossible, to participate equally in society. The CRPD, along with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), call for a more inclusive world and a better, more sustainable future. Inclusion and disability rights are irrevocably linked to the international community’s approach to development. If we truly want to ensure that no one is left behind, we must work together to create enabling environments that equally include people with disability in all aspects of society. Since 1972, Keystone Human Services has been providing inclusive services and supporting people with disability to direct the course of their lives. We provide consultation, particularly in the form of partnership, collaboration, and education, to organizations and government entities seeking to end institutionalization, establish sustainable and inclusive community-based services, and incorporate disability inclusion in policy and legislative frameworks.
