Established more than 30 years ago in Queensland, Vermeer Australia has partnered with some of Australia’s largest contractors in the delivery of significant infrastructure projects and supported contractors, municipalities and utilities in the installation, maintenance and renewal of their assets. Their relationship with Vermeer Corporation began in 1989 when the business became the sole authorised dealer for Queensland, PNG and the Pacific Islands. They acquired the NSW dealership in 1997, with SA and VIC following about 12 months later. Their leadership and vision instilled a strong customer focus into the business and enabled further expansion. Peter and Ian created strong partnerships with some of Australia’s largest contractors and this has allowed Vermeer Australia to be recognised internationally for consistently ranking number one amongst Vermeer international dealerships worldwide. Vermeer Australia is now part of the RDO Australia Group – a subsidiary of North Dakota-based RDO Equipment Co. Globally, RDO Equipment Co. is the world’s largest John Deere dealer group, with presence in Africa, Australia, Mexico, Russia and Ukraine.
