The Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) has been in existence since 1993. The objectives of the Association are: • To promote social, recreational, cultural, educational and business-related activities for its members in Myanmar and to promote ties between Singapore and Myanmar. • To organize and/or participate in social, recreational, charitable and business-related activities for its members in Myanmar. • To raise funds for the Association and for charitable purposes. • To assist and provide support for members of the association by providing informational regarding local culture and practices. • To perform any necessary act which the Executive Committee considers to be in the interests of the Association to achieve any of the above. The Association is managed by an Executive Committee (Exco) which is elected at the Annual General Meeting. There are four committees within the Exco: • Social • Charity • Sports • Business These four committees advance the objectives of the Association and organize their respective activities for our members.
