Başka Bir Okul Mümkün Derneği (BBOM) Türkiye’de erken çocukluk ve ilkokul eğitiminin katılım ve barış eksenlerinde derinleşmesine somut uygulama örnekleri ortaya koyarak katkıda bulunan gönüllü bir sivil toplum kuruluşudur. Çocukları, ebeveynleri, öğretmenleri, sınıfı, okulu, mahalleyi birer öğrenme topluluğu olarak gören BBOM, tüm bu toplulukların katılımcı, barışçıl ve verimli olduğu bir dünya hayal eder. Bu hayal peşinde koşan BBOM’un birçok farklı çalışmasına örnek olarak ebeveyn ve gönüllülerce kurulan ve çocuk katılımını merkeze alan okulların desteklenmesi; katılımcı ve barışçıl öğrenme ortamlarının yaygınlaşması için öğretmen destek programları düzenlenmesi; empati, şefkat, bağlantı, güven temelli sosyal ve duygusal temalara yönelik yayınlar ile etkinliler yapılması sayılabilir. ... Another School Is Possible Association (ASIP) is an NGO that aims to contribute to the transformation of Turkish early childhood and primary education system towards attaining a more participatory and peaceful school culture. ASIP, who considers children, parents, teachers, classrooms, schools, towns as peculiar learning communities, dreams a world in which all those communities lives in a state of inclusionary participation, peaceful co-existence and creative productivity. Along the activities that ASIP conducts in order to run after its dreams are supporting democratic community schools; running teacher support programs that focus on child participation, non-violent communication and mindfulness; organising events and publishing sources that foster concepts and practises of empathy, compassion, connection.
