Nicola Engineering GmbH
www.nicola-eng.deNicola Engineering is a dynamic engineering office for marine and land surveying with over 40 years' experience in hydrography. We work flexibly in a wide range of different operational areas, delivering high precision on both marine and topographic data. HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYING We have a range of modern, certified and fully equipped vessels between 2.5 m and 9 m, some of which can be transported by road and deployed quickly wherever they are needed. We also have a portfolio of hydroacoustic systems including both single and multibeam echosounders, together with the related sensors and positioning devices for use on client vessels. Our main hydrographic surveying activities include: • Inspection of waterways (fairway inspection, detection of sedimentation) • Scouring checks/scouring monitoring • Monitoring/support of excavation/dredging works • Inspection of structures (bridges, quays, inlets and outlets, jetties, etc.) • Culvert inspection and monitoring (underwater cables and ducts, pipelines) • Surveys following accidents, anchor search • Positioning of floating equipment (docks, pontoons, excavators, barges, etc.) • Surveys for offshore wind power plants. LAND SURVEYING With our expert team and industry standard tools including total stations, digital levels, GPS/GLONASS receivers and relevant software, we are able to provide topographical data in addition to hydrological surveying, as well as large-scale land recordings. We also frequently conduct excavator checks and general stake-out measures. Depending on the task set, we present our results as follows: • Site plan with depths and isolines (in colour), dxf or dwg format • 3D views • Difference plans for a preliminary survey as soil addition/erosion in colour, based on meshing • Longitudinal and transverse profiles, area and mass calculations in accordance with REB/GAEB.
