Chopped Carbon and Glass Fiber Manufacturer Founded in January 2007, Camelsan Inc. is a manufacturer of recycled glass fiber chopped strands from 4.5mm (0.2") to 100mm (3.9") -which are suitable for thermoplastic (PA-Polyamide, PP-Polypropylene) and thermosetting (BMC/DMC - Bulk/Dough Molding Compound, SMC - Sheet Molding Compound); some of the applications are gypsum/plaster, gypsum drywall / plasterboard, used in composite meter boxes, manhole covers, electrical insulations, artificial stone (granite, marble, onyx), brake and clutch linings, etc.- Since September 2010, CAMELSAN Inc. manufactures polyacrylonitrile (PAN) type chopped carbon fiber from 3mm (1/8") to 60mm (2.36"). Some of the applications are advanced composites and carbon fiber reinforced cement (CFRC). Production capacity is 10-to-15 tons/month.
