ATLA is developing a mobile application (dApp) giving access to a peer-to-peer network of renewable energy sharing that powers an out-of-the-box social network for small communities in order to help local municipalities and community members to map sustainable governmental directives (SDGs) and practices unto concrete local actions. Thus, bridging the intention to change underlying top-down policies and directives to a local, actionable, community level. ATLA does this by transforming locally self-produced renewable energy into a sustainable asset: A complementary energy- and economic resource for the ATLA community. ATLAs Starting point is from increasing the utility and the value-generating potential of pre-installed residential PV Solar systems. Hence, ATLA increases capacity of additions of R. E additions to meet the goals of the Paris agreement by 2030. Currently, residential PV solar systems are a costly investment with an unfavorable ROI for any generated energy surplus delivered back to the grid due to high transmission costs. Investment are currently heavily subsidized. Renewables are further unutilized, unstored and consequently wasted during periods of oversupply in the grid. ATLAs ecosystem consists of three parts: 1. The ATLA Cloud; A Virtual platform for peer-to-peer (p2p) energy sharing and - circulation based on hybrid p2p technology and tokenization of Energy through the Ethereum smart-contract ecosystem. 2. The ATLA Social Networking Platform: a forum for action that enables sharing of any generated surplus of renewable energy to sustainable causes and entities in a community, albeit residents, businesses and institutions. Using tokenized energy as a reward for Sustainable Development oriented actions and related activities. 3. You, a willing participant.
