Mission: Hopetown aims to develop young minds that enjoy the challenges of inquiry, knowledge and experimentation. We seek to enable all children to explore their multifaceted talents and facilitate opportunities for celebration of these talents. We are an English medium, fully residential school for girls and believe in sound Indian value systems, and in the significance of bringing up children in a happy, positive and nurturing atmosphere. We believe in secularism and encourage respect of all religions, beliefs, customs and opinions. The school’s curriculum and ethos provides opportunities for students to develop into compassionate, caring human beings who will contribute positively to the world they live in. Hopetown Girls’ School, Dehradun was founded in 1999. It is a self financing residential school for girls with a population of about 518 students enrolled in classes from Class V to XII. All students are bilingual and speak both English and their mother tongue language fluently. The school campus spreads over 50 acres. The school buildings include well equipped science laboratories, facilities for Art and Pottery, Music and Dance. The well laid out grounds includes courts for basketball, netball, tennis and pitches for football and cricket and swimming pool. Students follow the Indian National Curriculum and are prepared for the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) Examinations. There are approximately 70 – 80 students in a graduating class to whom we offer 14 subject options.
