GoForth Recovery
www.goforthrecovery.comGoForth Recovery, a non-profit organization established in 2018, is a men’s addiction recovery program and residential transitional living home for alcoholics and drug addicts. Our residential program provides housing and a structured environment that allows alcoholics and addicts to recover from a hopeless and helpless state of mind & body. Our primary goal is to enable the resident to take responsibility for their recovery and build the foundation for them to be a productive member of their community. Residents are admitted based on their willingness to commit to a minimum of 6 months our residential recovery program. GoForth Recovery provides a safe place of support as residents take hold of their recovery, identify the root causes of their addictions and move past them to rejoin the community in a positive way. We offer a highly structured residential program with a network of resources that is suited to give a person their best chance of recovering. At the core of our house is our recovery programs which consist of 8 hours per week of classes. These classes fall under two categories, 12 step meetings and life skills. The 12 step meetings lay the foundation for recovery. Life Skills classes cover the following topics: Making decisions, Refusal skills, Interpersonal skills, Values and responsibilities, Setting and attaining goals, Budgeting and money management, Anger Management, Education and learning and Relapse Prevention. While our focus in on recovery we also assist the residents with job placement, transportation, basic healthcare and outside counseling. Once in recovery it is strongly encouraged that they become volunteer in the community to carry the message of hope to those still suffering. Our founders and our staff have all followed this path as well as the many volunteers we work with. In fact, this simple act of giving back is the best insurance from relapsing.l
