After many years of buying, selling, renting, and renovating homes, we were disillusioned by the entire real estate brokerage model: In this digital age, why is the home seller still paying 5-6% commission? Why is the commission split 50/50 between seller’s and buyer’s agents? Why does the seller have to be locked into a 6 month listing agreement? Why is the quality of service so inconsistent between agents, even if they represent the same real estate agency? We realized that the brokerage industry’s commission system and service standards were antiquated and saw an opportunity and decided to change the game and PremiumONE was born. After digging deeper, we discovered that real estate agents spend 80% of their time looking for new clients and only 20% of their time servicing them. Hence, the low productivity of the current real estate brokerage model and the need to charge 5-6% commission. We, at PremiumONE, decided to turn the entire real estate buying & selling system on its head.
