ART for Cancer Foundation ...where heart connects with art Who we are: The ART for Cancer Foundation is a volunteer run, non-profit charitable organization, established in 2010 with a mission to improve the quality of life of people living with cancer, by providing an outlet for creative expression through the arts. What we do: We offer free creative expression programs and workshops to people living with cancer. Our programs introduce people living with cancer, their families and care providers to the emotional healing power of the creative process. We facilitate an environment where they can escape, explore and express their feelings through creative endeavors like painting, drawing and other artistic processes. Why we do it: “When I focus on art making, everything else disappears, and I don’t think about having cancer. Art focuses my mind away from cancer and leaves me feeling calm and centered.” workshop participant “I didn’t realize I had so much that needed to be said, but which I had no words for.
