Family Hope House Strives to lead the way for the mental health community in its approach to meeting the needs of adoptive, guardianship and foster families. All services provided by FHH are trauma-informed and adoption competent. Simply put, this means the consumer’s needs and symptoms are conceptualized through the lens of their adverse experiences, as well as the unique factors that play into their family and identity formation. Engaging in both the local and national conversation surrounding adoption and foster care support, Family Hope House is able to create programing aimed at meeting the needs that are most urgent and helpful within this special population. Family Hope House is dedicated to the strengthening and development of healthy families, regardless of makeup, through a specific focus on forming healthy attachments, resolving trauma, and enhancing parent-child relationships with three areas of focus: therapy, education, and advocacy.
