The Britannia Woods Community House opened in 1976 with the purpose of ensuring the families living in the Britannia Woods community had access to social, educational and recreational supports. In 1990s, an Emergency Food Pantry was implemented to provide families with an emergency supply of food. The Community House located directly in the heart of the Ottawa Community Housing Corporation’s Britannia Woods community in the west end of Ottawa. Over the last 30 years, the Community House has been offering a wide range of programs and services that aim to improve the quality of life for multicultural families and households living on a fixed or low income.
