Precious Blood Volunteers will help you grow in your faith and discern your life calling while you serve those living in poverty. We are a Kansas City based volunteer program for people looking for six months to a year of service to people who are on the margins. Our volunteers serve at: Bishop Sullivan Center- You can assist people in their efforts to secure employment, provide for their families, and secure a brighter future. You would have the opportunity to gain experience in social work and volunteer management. KC CARE Clinic- You can work with health care professionals in service to patients who are not able to afford health insurance. If you are interested in learning about the health care profession and have a passion for caring for the sick you would find KC CARE Clinic a great place to serve. Cristo Rey Kansas City High School - If you have an interest in Catholic education this is a fantastic placement. Cristo Rey can use a volunteer who wants to work with high school students and is open to anyone with a college degree. Volunteers with training in STEM fields are given highest priority for this placement. Legal Aid of Western Missouri- Work as part of a team with lawyers and paralegals advocating on behalf of people living in public housing in Kansas City, Missouri. Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation in Chicago, Illinois- You will be working with people in a community affected by violence , and reaching out in mission to the wider Church, working for healing and reconciliation in both.
