HART is an international aid organisation. We partner with local communities in Nigeria, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Burma (Myanmar) and the disputed regions of Abyei and Nagorno Karabakh. Founded by Baroness Cox in 2004, HART is not just ‘another aid organisation’. We are distinctive in that we combine aid with advocacy – providing assistance for food, shelter, health and education, whilst promoting the local people’s vision for a brighter future. Many of our local partners are trapped behind closed borders. They are not served by major aid organisations. They are also ignored by the international media.
