Social Innovation New Zealand is a University of Auckland student-run club, the winner of the Best General Club in 2018 and Best Business Club in 2019. We are focused on inspiring, educating and connecting like-minded students in the field of social innovation. What is social innovation? It is the use of creative solutions to solve problems in a way that creates positive social outcomes. We engage students in this by providing them with opportunities to interact and learn from a variety of social organisations who are making their mark on the world driven by a similar mindset. This is achieved via a variety of different competitions, events and programmes. SINZ seeks to enable students to create positive outcomes by giving them opportunities to implement ideas that achieve social impact and create a sustainable future. We are a club for students from all kinds of backgrounds - no matter what subject or field you are into, you have the ability and potential to do good through social innovation, and we are here to help you on your way.
