Barnacle Bros. is an artist studio founded in 1997 by a friendly group of artists, craftspeople, performers, and local personalities. The folks at Barnacle Bros. are well versed in all media and processes. We specialize in wood, metal, fiberglass, composites, foam, resin, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, stone, sculpting, casting, mold-making, models, miniatures, furniture, architectural elements, prototypes, and, of course, puppets. We have grown from an artist collective, into a sole proprietorship, officially incorporating in 2009. Our East Los Angeles facility has likewise expanded to accommodate the successful production of challenging artwork on an international scale. Committed to cultivating a sustainable shop environment, we support local vendors and manufacturing, as well as choosing to use green energy and recycled or non-tree based paper products throughout our studio. Since we are sensitive to the globalized evolution of creative practice, Barnacle Bros. is receptive to the needs of artists across all time zones and responsive to the economy of the artistic community. We emphasize a personal approach to collaborating with artists to because we realize that this is the key to successful projects.
