Jose is a partner for La Corona Wellness, a cannabis dispensary scheduled to open on 4/20, at 3326 Mission St, San Francisco. Jose and his partners also have 3 other retail locations in San Francisco going through the permitting process. Jose volunteers and serves on the boards of various civic, community and business organizations, serving in high executive leadership positions and currently serves as the President of the San-Francisco Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce. He proudly served as Chairman for the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), Region 8, Northern California from 2004-2010 and advocated on community and economic development and social justice issues for the underserved ethnic minority communities in the Bay Area. As a cannabis advocate, Jose serves on the Cannabis Working Group Committee for the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce helping stakeholders understand and create programs and business opportunities under “Social Equity” initiatives. Jose has had several brain injuries stemming from the removal of a sizeable brain tumor in 1993. He benefitted from the use of cannabis replacing very strong prescribed seizure and pain medications allowing normalcy in his day to day life. Dear Family and Friends: I don’t post much about myself on a professional level, but, I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Over the past several years, I've been active and involved in the Cannabis Industry on a host of fronts, learning all I can about this plant and business, which is poised to make an economic and community impact, the likes of which I’ve not seen in my 25+ years of advocating for our underserved and minority businesses and communities. I’m involved as a commercial real estate broker specializing in identifying cannabis compliant properties to lease, sell, purchase, or, manage, as well as consulting with all parties (Landlord/Tenant & Buyer/Seller) in an effort to ensure local and state compliance are followed and permits to operate are granted. I’m involved as a Co-owner for a soon to be opened cannabis dispensary in the Mission-Bernal Heights area of San Francisco, called La Corona Wellness. An almost 2 year process from start to finish with a Grand Opening scheduled in the coming weeks. Obtaining a dispensary permit in San Francisco, is a tall task, particularly the monetary, regulatory, zoning, building and political hurdles needed to get to the finish line. We had some great help along the way and thankful for the community support we’ve received. I’m happy to announce we’re working on our 2nd, 3rd and 4th locations in the City and hope to bring those on line before year end. Meet individuals who are shaping the industry, as we as those who can assist you in creating and operating a successful Cannabis enterprise. If you need additional information please call the CHCC office at 916-444-2221. For those that are interested, there are still EXHIBIT BOOTHS and SPONSORSHIPS available, call the CHCC office for more information at (916) 444-2221.
