HOW TWO BIG-HEARTED VETERANS STARTED AS RESEARCH TO HELP MILLIONS OF AMERICANS, VETERANS, AND KIDS IN NEED Despite going to the US Air Force Academy at the same time, Steve Young and Mike Ledeboer did not know each other until they connected in the active-duty Air Force. Steve and Mike were both high-level athletes. Mike played Division 1 football at the Air Force Academy. Steve played club soccer, was a competitive shooter, and instructor pilot. Both had decorated military careers before being honorably discharged. They left the military with immense pride...ready to take the best parts of their training and experience to the next chapter in life. As athletes and airmen, both spent a lot of time studying and applying nutrition and fitness. Seeing friends and veterans struggle in this area created a desire to help people with their strength, conditioning, and overall health. As a result, AS Research was born in 2012 when Mike and Steve decided to launch a mission-based nutrition company. Nothing less than authentic, honest, charitable and always putting quality and customers first would do.
