Capital Camps & Retreat Center was founded in 1987, and is an independent non-profit organization (501C). The agency is a Beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, enjoys a close relationship with the Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore, is an American Camping Association (ACA) accredited camp and a member agency of the JCC Association. The main purpose of the organization is to provide a summer camp program for children and retreat opportunities to the Jewish community. The camp is located in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and the winter offices are located in Rockville, Maryland with close ties to both the Baltimore and Northern Virginia communities.
