The Berrien County Road Department is responsible for 1,477 miles of county roads, 104 bridges (clear span of 20 feet or more) and hundreds of cross road culverts. These roads, bridges and culverts lie outside incorporated areas such as cities and villages. We also provide traffic control and maintain the roadsides along these roads. The Berrien County Road Department’s mission is to maintain a county road system that is safe and convenient for public travel which is carried out by a skilled, hard working staff.
