The College of Liberal Arts is the intellectual heart of Auburn University. We combine our love of knowledge and learning with research and expertise in an enriching student-centered environment. We teach our students to communicate with others, improve their critical thinking skills, and expand their horizons to think globally. CLA is the academic home of professors who have won every major award for teaching and research that Auburn has to offer. As one of the largest colleges on campus, we proudly teach more Auburn University students than any other college. We offer 38 undergraduate majors, 36 minors, 21 graduate degrees and 6 professional certificates among our 12 departments and the School of Communication and Journalism. Our curriculum offers a diverse range of subjects encompassing four areas: social sciences, communications, humanities and fine arts. Our graduates hold a strong record of industry employment and/or acceptance into graduate schools and training programs, both here and abroad.
