We are one of Australia’s oldest Mexican franchise companies having started franchising the Montezuma’s concept in 1991 after opening our first restaurant in Burleigh Heads in 1978. Relying on word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied local customers, business increased steadily and word spread far and wide that Montezuma’s provides the fresh taste of Mexico while offering great value for money in a casual, friendly and relaxed environment. There are 20 Montezuma's restaurants nationally in Australia with this number growing steadily from 2017 onwards through a combination of improving the bench strength of our Head Office support capability, improving technology as well as through acquisitions & new company / franchised restaurants. Building on our heritage, authenticity, good value and fresh flavours we plan to open 10 new restaurants over the next 24 months taking Montezuma's to many more Mexican food lovers both Australia and around the world.
