Retirement is SO over! No one saw this coming. Most baby boomers (born 1946-1964) haven’t saved enough money for retirement. And regardless of our economic situation, we want to continue working in sustainable, engaging, and purposeful careers. But the “new economy” tells us we’re done. Between corporate downsizing, early retirement buy-outs, and rampant ageism, where are our new opportunities? As a reinvention career coach, I work with older professionals looking to prolong their careers past traditional retirement. This will often entail a significant re-evalution and reformulation of one's career, and use the Boomer Reinvention five-step methodology to create that second-act career.
