The Maryland Talent Education Center offers private lessons on violin, viola and cello to students ages 5 and up. Students begin utilizing a modified Suzuki method and are guided in their home practice through the use of a website called ViolinPractice.com. The school also has a youth orchestra program. Graduates of the school have gone on to study at Conservatories and Universities like Peabody, Indiana University, Carnegie-Mellon, University of Maryland, Eastman, Juilliard. Our faculty are highly trained professional musicians and teachers. All MDTEC faculty have at least a Master's degree in Music performance with significant training in string pedagogy.
