CORRAL Riding Academy
www.corralriding.orgCORRAL is a faith-motivated nonprofit that equips adolescent girls in high-risk situations through a long-term, holistic program of equine therapy and education to prepare each girl and her community with skills, resources, and opportunities so that she can gain access to a bright future. We provide a holistic, long-term intervention that leverages a research-validated resilience framework for change. Our therapists are licensed professionals and our staff, passionate and highly qualified. Participants are referred to CORRAL from agencies within their communities, including Human Services, local Police Departments, Juvenile Justice, and school administrators. We are a preventative diversion program and, therefore, strive to create an environment for lasting healing and freedom from risky behaviors. Candidates are selected through an application process which measures their levels of risk and commitment. Selected participants will demonstrate both a high level of risk and a high level of commitment. Once asked to join the program, participants must commit to a minimum of one year, however, the vision is to shepherd each girl through the remainder of her middle and high school years.
