The atxGALS mission is to organize and host local, pop-up art shows showcasing women artists on a quarterly basis. Their aim is to give women artists more recognition in the art world while giving back to the community by tying in organizations that are either in-line, supportive, or have a primary focus on women’s issues. atxGALS art exhibits are hosted at non-traditional venues to create a more inviting and fun environment for guests. Since their official launch in February 2017, they’ve hosted very successful events with over 250 guests in attendance and raised thousands of dollars for GEN (Girls Empowerment Network) and SAFE, a merger of Safe Place and The Austin Children’s Shelter.
