Mood Food Wellness
www.moodfoodwellness.comMood Food Wellness offers holistic mental health counseling services combined with health education that helps adults end emotional eating, binge eating and stop patterns of self-sabotage in weight loss. We help you target the emotional connection to food to experience sustained behavior change related to weight management. We also address the common concerns associated with food and weight related issues: low and/or anxious mood, unresolved grief, food cravings, nutritional deficiencies, low energy, low self-esteem, unhelpful thought patterns, guilt, shame, and health conditions (diabetes, heart issues, metabolic disorders, hormone imbalance, autoimmune disorder, and others). Our holistic approach focuses on restoring the mind and body back into balance. We focus on how food patterns can lead to body chemistry imbalance and affect our mood, and how our mood affects the choices of food we make. We address the underlying negative thinking patterns that affect our feelings, behavior, the habits we create, and ultimately the results in our lives. We utilize a whole-person approach that addresses 12 dimensions of wellness: self-responsibility & love, breathing, sensing, eating, moving, feeling, thinking, playing& working, communicating, intimacy, finding meaning, and transcending. Whole-person well-being is understanding, and balancing all of life’s dimensions – everything you think, feel and do – for your optimal health and vitality. A whole-person approach is not limited to only focusing on your eating habits or exercise. New research in biology, neurology, and psychology clearly demonstrate the mind-body connection and has proven that our total well-being must incorporate all dimensions of our lives. By addressing underlying emotional barriers, people can finally stop the vicious cycle of restricting and/or overeating. When the emotional barriers that keep a person stuck are removed, the issues with weight and health become more manageable.
