The Handoff Company, a digital health startup, is deeply committed to enhancing transitions of care to improve patient safety and restoring the joy-of-caring for clinicians. Our first product, Caringly, is a tool for handoff collaboration that nurses use for safe, efficient, structured and quantified handoffs at shift change. Caringly makes handoffs easy, intuitive, and efficient for incoming and outgoing nurses at shift change. Caringly has been designed by practicing bedside nurses. Caringly allows Charge Nurses / Staff Supervising Nurses to automatically generate Shift Summary Reports. It also provides useful task reminders to nurses during their shift. Caringly's user interface focuses on intuitive information entry and easy access to achieve two major objectives: (1) Simultaneous presentation of a broad contextual overview of patient condition (during hospital stay and previous medical history) and a focused view of critical information about each patient’s condition (2) Reduce the likelihood of medical errors during transition of care at shift change and hence improve patient safety
