About Us. Kenya Ships Agents Association was established in the early 1970’s. The Association is non-profit making and relies for its existence on members subscriptions. The Association works through the Secretariat wherein all matters affecting members, either individually or collectively, are channeled for circulation to all members and views or comments sought. The Association also works through an Executive Committee in which issues raised by members are discussed with a view to arriving at acceptable solutions. In more complex matters, the Association usually seeks the opinion of experts in the field concerned. The Committee consists of twelve members elected by members of the Association for a two year tenure. Amongst the Committee members are four office bearers namely: Chairman; Vice-Chairman; Secretary and Treasurer. The Association is open to Ship Agents incorporated in Kenya, who represent Kenyan / East African businesses, shipping lines, ship owners and charterers. The overall purpose of KSAA is to promote ethical business and best practice and to facilitate seaborne trade and economic growth in Kenya and the wider East Africa Region.
