The Grand Marais Art Colony is a nonprofit organization dedicated to aesthetic inquiry, artistic experimentation and art in the Great Lakes Region. We were established in 1947 and will be celebrating 75 years in 2022. The Art Colony is open year-round, offers over 100 classes from beginner to advanced, provides studio access to artists-in-residence, organizes several events - such as our Annual Arts Festival - and exhibits. Our facilities include a ceramics studio, eco-friendly printmaking studio and four additional multipurpose studios.
