National Energy Center (NEC), a semi-government company, is formed to serve the utility sector through innovative and integrated smart solutions, smart services, and smart technologies in the field of renewable energies and utility metering. For doing so, NEC has taken giant leaps in bringing the global leaders in renewable energy and metering expertise to the Sultanate of Oman. One of NEC's ambitions is localized manufacturing and tailoring of metering products and services, complete end-to-end solutions, in both renewable energy and utility metering fields. We have successfully developed customized end-to-end solutions to cater to the demand of some of the utility distribution companies in Oman. In a short span of time, NEC has not only built a base for itself in the sector but also has dawned an era of tough competition to existing market leaders. NEC is now recognized as "the face of change" in the utility metering sector, IoT being the latest feather in its cap.
