A 80-as években ő vezette azt a szakértői csoportot, amely a Toyota forradalmi módszerét kutatta, majd megalkotta a lean fogalmát. Napjainkban 32 ország Lean Enterprise Institute szervezete – köztük mi is – dolgozik Womack küldetésén, hogy jobbá tegyük a világot a lean szemlélet által. Womack in 1997. He has lead MIT’s professional research team in the 80s to deeply understand Toyota’s revolutionary method, and then coined the word lean in order to describe their findings. Today Lean Enterprise Institute organizations in 32 countries are working on Womack’s mission to make the World better through lean thinking and practice. Unlike traditional ‘theoretical’ organizations, we put the emphasis on ‘actions’. We process and teach in practice all that we have experienced to provide companies with new methods for their lean transformation.
