Ca’Barun, or Casa Barun – the house of the Baron, was established by Peter Thomsen in 1997. The estate is located in Santo Stefano Belbo, 380 m above sea level, in the Langhe area of Piedmont, Italy. Ca’Barun is a small independent producer of quality wine, and over the years it has become very appreciated by wine lovers from different corners of the world. The key to the success is based on Peter’s passion for wine and three essential “rules”: - Grapes which mainly originate from the Piedmont area, including some rare less well-known varieties. - Small to medium quantities of each wine in order to maintain a high-level quality and exclusivity of the wines. - Ecological friendly production with a minimal use of chemicals – both in the vineyard and in the winery. The Ca’Barun wine portfolio consist of Langhe Freisa DOC, Dolcetto d’Asti, Barbaresco DOCG and Barolo DOCG.
