Caring for Our Own US Troops & Families Coalition was founded in 2011 and is a volunteer based, nonprofit (pending 501C-3) dedicated to serving deployed United States Service Men and Women and their families, ensuring them that they are not forgotten by the grateful Nation they serve and protect. Caring for Our Own strives to provide a better deployment quality of life by sending cards, letters and care packages to lift the morale of Troops as they serve far from home and assist military families on the home front as well. Caring for Our Own provides an on-going mail support system, creates projects that meet the need of military requests, and establishes special projects that benefit deployed Troops representing all branches of the U.S. military and well as their families both here and abroad. Caring For Our Own also serves injured Troops and assists military veterans who remain our Nation’s Heroes. It is the founding members’ personal belief that we need to show our Soldiers that while they are out there looking out for us, we need to be looking out for them and their loved ones.
