Heritage Family Services has built a model of care based on the OnePerson Paradigm. What is the OnePerson Paradigm? A traditional org chart is usually shaped like a pyramid and flows from the top down. In this structure the person served is usually at the bottom of the structure. After years of running an organization this we found that the persons served at the bottom of the chart actually received less valuable care because of the structure. The OnePerson Paradigm is built on a philosophy that puts OnePerson in the centre of support and care within the organization. At Heritage Family Services our model is built on OnePerson, or person served, being in the centre with our service team members program coordinators, support teams and administration radiating outwards. This ensures that the entire focus for the organization faces the centre towards the person served.
