The Cattaraugus County Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) assists businesses in our 15 county service area in western and central southern tier of New York State with selling and marketing their products and/or services to the government. Our services are free of charge and include an assessment of government contracting readiness, assistance with obtaining business requirements like a DUNS number and registration in System for Award Management (SAM), as well as the technical assistance in determining the appropriate government agency to market your products and/ or services to. We can also assist businesses with their applications for qualifying certifications like the SBA’s HUBZone and 8(a) programs in addition to NYS’s SDVOSB and MWBE programs. PLEASE NOTE: Change is coming! The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) is now under the management of the Department of Defense (DOD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) and has changed its name to APEX Accelerators. The 95+ centers, including the Cattaraugus County PTAC, will be transitioning to the new name in the coming months! Please note, our mission and assistance will not change. We are still here to assist businesses within our 15 county service area with all things government contracting - Federal, State, local and related subcontracting. What will be changing is our scope and resources will be increasing in order to do more for the businesses we assist. So, whether we are called a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) or an APEX Accelerator, we continue to be here for you, our client, with all your government contracting needs.
