The FNV is the largest trade union confederation in the Netherlands. It was formed through the merging in 1976 of the Netherlands Federation of Trade Unions (NVV) and the Catholic Federation of Dutch Trade Unions (NKV), the formal process being completed in 1982. FNV represents over 1.200.000 union members. FNV Bouw is the column focussed on construction workers.
