UMAX is an initiative run by Cardiff Met Students’ Union to give students and graduates the most out of their time at Cardiff Met. As well as providing students with great offers and discounts, UMAX’s main focus is to improve student’s employability and help them to find work. UMAX Jobshop works with local organisations and employers developing relationships and creating opportunities for students and graduates. UMAX Jobshop offers a free service to advertise, part time, full time, voluntary work and internships. UMAX Training and Development ensures Cardiff Met students have the opportunity to become the best candidates for these roles by offering a range of workshops to improve their skills. These workshops include, CV Writing, Interview Skills, Time Management and accredited courses in Customer Service. UMAX continues to build new relationships with organisations and professionals allowing them to promote opportunities to the skilled students and graduates of Cardiff Metropolitan University.
