One cluster aim is to increase the perception of the plasma technology in the society. It also helps interested parties in the Baltic Sea region assess their potential for using this technology. As an international cluster, BalticNet-PlasmaTec supports the creation of new jobs in the long term by introducing and disseminating the plasma technology in the universities, industry, SME and public facilities. This will be realised by development of new business segments, spin-offs and an intensive common marketing. The BalticNet-PlasmTec based on 5 workgroups where different types of project will be realized. The work in the workgroup Plasma& Environment focused on plasma application for environment protection. The focus of the workgroup Plasma & Bio is the combination of physical plasmas with life science and medicine. Within the workgroup Vacuum Technology the members work with low pressure plasma applications. The Education workgroup organize education events for employees and students like summer schools, placements and workshops. All activities to increase the visibility of plasma and the growing of the cluster are bundled in the workgroup Marketing.
