WoundPedia was founded by Dr. R. Gary Sibbald of the University of Toronto. Our vision is a world where every patient in need of skin and wound care receives high-quality interprofessional skin wound care from qualified health care providers. Our goal is to improve skin and wound care nationally and internationally through education, research, knowledge mobilization and building an integrated system of care. WoundPedia runs the following Initiatives 1. The International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) 2. Project ECHO (Extensions for Community Healthcare Outcomes) Ontario Skin and Wound Care 3. We promote global health initiatives that improve skin and wound care 4. We facilitate liaisons and alliances with members of the skin and wound care communities nationally and internationally 5. We promote standards and evidence for skin and wound care 6. We help establish accurate and actionable on data and measurement in wound care 7 We ensure all WoundPedia initiatives are evidence-informed and updated as appropriate
