Smart Reservoir has developed and patented a unique hydraulic reservoir design based on aerospace ''Bootstrap'' reservoirs. The product called ''Variable Volume Reservoir'' or VVR aims to replace on selected applications, the ''classic oil tanks'' where most of them are sized too large, thus bulky and weights up to several hundred pounds. Our mission is to make machinery manufacturers aware that there is a solution to eliminate the various drawbacks of using these classic reservoirs. The VVR will reduce weight by a ratio of up to 100:1 and space up to 20:1. Further the VVR is sealed from the atmosphere, it is air less and slightly pressurized (up to 0,6 bar). These unique features makes the hydraulic network totally isolated from the atmosphere (solid contaminants, water etc.) thus promote longer oil life, less maintenance and increased reliability. The VVR will always supercharge the pump no matter the machine operating altitude and orientation. No classic reservoirs can match these features. One of our mission is the environmental awareness where the VVR uses up 100 times less fluid thus less recycling. By its low volume it promotes the use biodegradable fluids at much lower filling cost. The VVR field of applications is very wide; Mobile machinery, industrial HPU's, mining & drilling, marine, offshore & subsea, military etc.
