La Scuola Italiana a Londra's mission is to promote Italian language, literature, and culture in UK. La Scuola Italiana a Londra was set up in July 2007 as a charity (Reg. n. 1119966) by a group of volunteers with the aim to open the first Italian-English bilingual school in London and to promote the Italian language and culture within the British community. Since September 2010, when the school (SIAL.school) officially opened, the Board of Trustees has managed the charity and supported its continued development through fundraising activities. In September 2018 La Scuola Italiana a Londra was appointed by the Italian Consulate to run all the Italian courses for children in schools in Southern England under its patronage. In July 2020 under the new brand SIAL.courses the charity launched a comprehensive offer of Italian language and culture courses.
