www.kingston.gov.ukKingston Music Service offers local residents the opportunity to make live music through its varied programme of activities designed to provide pre-schoolers, young people aged 4-18 and adult learners with an exciting and enriching musical experience. It supports music in schools - from group singing and class instrumental sessions to individual and small group lessons - with performance opportunities for many students at the Rose Theatre, Kingston. KMS also offers an extra-curricular programme at its five music centres across the borough: this encompasses a range of bands and orchestras, theory lessons, music technology sessions and other groups, alongside one-to-one instrumental and vocal tuition. The KMS bands and orchestras perform regularly at high profile venues around Kingston, in central London and - every three years - in major European cities. From April 2020 KMS also offers online music lessons which can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the UK or beyond. KMS is a non-profit making organisation, receiving funding from Kingston Council and Arts Council England. KMS is a member of the UK Association for Music Education - Music Mark.
