The Good Doctor (Project) is an effort to create technology that works for the doctor. We believe that the online marketplace models that entrepreneurship in the health-tech space has introduced are fundamentally damaging for the delivery of high quality healthcare, because they treat the doctor-patient relationship in the same way as any seller-buyer relationship. Finding a doctor cannot be analogous to finding the best pizza, the best restaurant or the best smartphone for you. Continuity of care has to be a cornerstone of high quality care and technology can facilitate that. We see this facilitation as our role, because the only hero healthcare needs is, well, The Good Doctor.
