Inspired Dance Film Festival Australia has been created by the dynamic dancer duo Rohan Seinor and Ian Knowles. Together, the duo boasts decades worth of collective professional dance experience. Being the very first festival of its kind in Australia, Inspired Dance Film Festival is a dance on film festival aiming to be a unifying force that brings the Australian dance community closer together, and creates a positive environment for people of all ages. The festival will be an amalgamation of dance and film, melding together the two genres of artistic expression to create a new opportunity to showcase choreography on film. With creativity, freedom of expression and inclusivity as its core values, the festival welcomes everyone and encourages bold ideas to take center stage. All participants will showcase their dance via a short film. Attendees of the festival will be able to take part in and enjoy a showcase screening of finalists and announcement of winners, at the festival gala. Australia has never before seen dance on film festival at a national scale and with the first-ever festival to be held during the first week of November 2020, creators Ian and Rohan are geared to make the festival an annual occurrence. With highly diverse international careers, Rohan and Ian both have extensive experience on and off stage. Together, they want the festival to become a highly anticipated event for dancers and filmmakers to showcase their talent for a large audience.
