NEOSS is an initiative of the South African Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), that is managed and hosted by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The Secretariat promotes the use and application of Earth Observations (EO) for societal benefit and provides a forum and platform for EO, satellite communications and navigations community (i.e. researchers, academics, public officials -at all spheres i.e. district, local, provincial, national, industry, data suppliers, consultants, NGOs, and others) to interact.
