Winnacunnet is a four-year, comprehensive high school. Winnacunnet prepares students to become life-long learners, effective communicators, and active and contributing citizens. Enrollment is approximately 1120. The school serves the towns of Hampton, Seabrook, Hampton Falls, and North Hampton. These communities are largely residential, located along the New Hampshire seacoast, and have a wide range of socio-economic groups. Local industry comprises light manufacturing and tourism. Boston, MA, Portland, ME and Manchester, NH are within commuting distance. WHS Vision and Mission Statement The Winnacunnet High School community seeks to create a consistent and caring atmosphere where learning is relevant, meaningful, and connected to the community of learners. This environment will be engaging for all and foster a love of learning that is lifelong. The Winnacunnet High School community challenges all students to be critical thinkers, responsible decision-makers, and creative problem solvers. By demonstrating courage, independence, knowledge, and skills, all students will become effective and contributing members of society. Curriculum Winnacunnet integrates traditional academic content, career and technical education, and a generous offering of electives. Curriculum options include multi-leveled courses, Running Start courses, for which the student can earn dual credit through the state college system, College Board Advanced Placement courses, and access to programs at the regional technical center—Seacoast School of Technology.
