The Center provides comprehensive services and programs to every family member impacted by violence and abuse. The approach is designed to explore root causes associated with unaddressed adverse childhood experiences. This process takes time to build trust. It has the best chance to completely heal the dysfunctional behavior before it is repeated in the next generation. During decades of service to El Dorado County, professionals at The Center have come to recognize that people also need support with overall life experience, not just crisis intervention. To meet this need, The Center teaches coping skills for productively managing emotions and then enlists a spirit of accountability and support for practicing these new methods and staying on track. Eliminating family/domestic violence is only one generation away.
